Dear Residents:
Crews are beginning to wrap up their efforts today over the next few hours. Services will begin again in the early morning to begin another day. Crews are making progress, but the process is very slow due to conditions.
The contractors ability to move around the Metropolitan area is still hampered by road conditions. This will continue as a hard freeze tonight will occur.
The main priority is accessibility – opening street and entrances to allow access for cars to reach outside roads. Opening sidewalks for passage – this may be that portions of steps or walk ways will be cleaned on one side.
Snow ridges along drive lanes – behind cars and driveway may occur, this is a normal occurrence with plowing.
Cleaning around cars is not a priority at this time, and residents may elect to shovel around their cars to get in and out. When doing so, please take care to not block neighboring vehicles or put snow back into the lot.
The contractors do not have time frames for when crews will get to a community or court. Crews are working as best they can to clean sidewalks and drive lanes. This is a very slow process.
This storm is different than most snow events noting that the dangerously cold temperatures, snow and ice layers are slowing down progress and taking more time to clear.
Sanding services will begin tomorrow as roads begin to clear up.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as this week progresses.
Your safety is of upmost importance. If your walkways have not been cleared, we encourage you to not use them if you don’t have to. There have also been reports of ice coming off the roofs, therefore residents need to take extreme caution when entering and exiting the units.
Stay safe and warm,
Management and Board of Directors
